Karine Jean-Pierre, who began her term as Biden’s Press Secretary starting in 2022, regularly rejected calls for the U.S. to deescalate violence, belittled Palestinian suffering, and spun for a White House committed to open-ended mass killing in Gaza.

On October 11, 2023—just four days after October 7, 2023—Jean-Pierre was asked about the administration’s attitude toward the notion of a ceasefire, which several Congress members, including Rep. Rashida Tlaib and former Rep. Cori Bush, had urged. Jean-Pierre replied, “I've seen some of those statements this weekend. We're going to continue to be very clear. We believe they're wrong. We believe they're repugnant, and we believe they're disgraceful.”

In March 2024, when asked about certain Arab and Muslim organizations' refusals to meet with Joe Biden and the administration’s plans to engage with Arab and Muslim communities in the U.S., Jean-Pierre failed to provide any concrete plans, examples, or details; avoided acknowledging the reasons these organizations rejected White House invitations; and could only be bothered to acknowledge the deaths of Israelis.
